We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this

Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The video opens with an aerial view of African cities and nature.

Pope Francis says, "When we look at Africa, we see much more than its great natural richness."

A beautiful woman looks at her reflection at the beach as Pope Francis continues.

"We see its joie de vivre, and above all, we see grounds for hope in Africa's rich intellectual, cultural and religious heritage."

Men and women around Africa peer at their reflection as the Pope says, "But we cannot fail to see the fratricidal wars decimating peoples and destroying these natural and cultural resources."

People squat before a mirror, working on something when the mirror shatters.

"Let us join with our bothers and sisters of this great continent, and pray together that Christians in Africa, in imitation of the Merciful Jesus, may give prophetic witness to reconciliation, justice, and peace," the Pontiff states as a man lifts a large piece of glass from the ground and holds it up to a woman, who looks at her reflection and smiles.

Pope Francis looks straight into the camera as he concludes the video on praying for Africa.

Africa is a mixed country with some suffering at the hands of Boko Haram and others live lavish lifestyles.

Please pray for Africa's people, that they know peace and God's mercies.
