LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - According to Vatican Radio, April's prayer intention is dedicated to youths.

"For young people, that they might know how to respond generously to the vocation God has given them, and immerse themselves in the great causes of the world."

The video begins with a young woman walking toward the camera.

Her expression is one of focus.

She steps up to a large tire and lifts it.

The sweat drips from her body and she grunts with effort as Pope Francis begins to speak.

"I know that you, young people, don't want to be duped by a false freedom, always at the beck and call of momentary fashions and fads.

"I know that you aim high. Is that true, or am I wrong?"

As the Pontiff continues to speak, the young woman is shown at home, packing a bag with work clothing.

"Don't leave it to others to be the protagonists of change," the Pope states, as the woman stands on board a ship helping what appears to be a boat full of refugees from a raft.

"You, young people, are the ones who hold the future! I ask you to be builders of the world, to work for a better world. It is a challenge, yes it is a challenge. Do you accept it?

"Pray with me that young people may respond generously to their own vocation and mobilize for the great causes of the world."

Pope Francis' call to today's youth was released just before World Youth Day, which takes place April 9.

At the end of March, Pope Francis released a similar video for World Youth Day, where he tells youths that, like the Holy Virgin, they are necessary.

He encouraged them to leave their mark on the world and stated: "Like the young woman of Nazareth, you can improve the world and leave an imprint that makes a mark on history, your history and that of many others.

"The Church and society need you."
