We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this

Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

Christians stand your ground: Graduating class recites The Lords Prayer in defiance of atheist hate group

'The class thought it was wrong that we were being forced to remove it.'

Notorious atheist group Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) has struck again, this time at an East Liverpool high school in Ohio.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The Ohio school district was forced to ban The Lord's Prayer after the FFRF complained the prayer "violated the U.S. Constitution and promoted religion."

The district feared a lawsuit, which FFRF often uses as a means to bully high schools into conforming with the atheist agenda.

The week before the class of 2016 was to take the stage, they learned they would not be able to continue the over 70-year-old traditional recitation of the prayer.

"It breaks my heart," choir director Lisa Ensinger told Fox News. "Our students are really sad."

To make matters worse, the FFRF didn't even have any students participating in the graduation ceremony. In fact, the Wisconsin-based group had nothing to do with the Ohio school's tradition at all - they simply wanted to go out of their way to suppress a Christian tradition for the fun of it.

The graduating class of 2016 was upset about the district decision but understood things from a legal standpoint. Therefore, the students gathered together moments before the ceremony to stand their ground against the spiteful atheist group.

"Pretty much everyone was in agreement," graduate Bobby Hill shared. "The class thought it was wrong that we were forced to remove" the prayer, he added.

The class waited for the valedictorian to welcome the crowd, then the entire graduating class stood and began to recite The Lord's Prayer.

Bobby's father explained how his son told him the plan beforehand. He beamed: "I was thrilled to find out. I was very proud to see the youth, our future leaders, decide to stand up for what they believed in. I can't lie - I teared up.

Though the FFRF is responsible for putting an end to school sports-related prayers, religious artwork in schools and student Bible clubs, this time their evil plots were foiled.

"I've always taught my two boys to stand up for what you believe is right," Hill explained.

"The same lesson my parents taught me. It doesn't matter if it's over religion or something else - take a stand."
