LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - This Christmas season it is easy to feel overwhelmed with the many charities offered, but YCVF dabbles in so many projects, it would be beneficial to offer your tax-deductible donation to the Catholic-based organization.
Your donation can make all the difference in the lives of displaced priests and ministers, starving children, homeless refugees and needy families.
YCVF helps God help you. Remember, when you bless others, God blesses you. Your donation, no matter how big or small, can help provide clothes for families in need. This year, $385,000 provided children with Bibles, devotional items, coloring books, socks, pencils, coats and warm clothes.Bibles for Families was able to ship 10,000 Bibles with help from YCVF this year.
$120,000 was used as stipends for Syrian and Catholic priests displaced from their homes and parishes in Syria and Iraq. St. Peter's seminary donations totaled $52,000 to help people reach their vocations.
$820,000 was used for food and shelter for refugees to survive the winter, and $630,000 was used for temporary housing.
Of all donations for 2015, less than 5 percent was used for fundraising and other administrative costs. Over 95 percent helped support projects in Syria and Iraq.
Eight schools were created and generators were installed for a total of $2,600,000.
There have also been more projects in Latin America, funding schools and more. Find out more by visiting YCVF or Your Catholic Voice Foundation's YouTube Channel.
