Happy Birthday, Pope Francis!

Today we say, "Happy Birthday" to our beloved Pope Francis. The wonderful pontiff turns 79-years-old today, December 17, 2015.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - People all over the world are wishing Pope Francis well on his very special day. Social media outlets are filled with posts, photos and hashtags honoring the man.

During Pope Francis' General Audience on Wednesday, December 16, the crowd sang out for the pope; he was presented with a sombrero-shaped birthday cake from Mexican journalist, Valentina Alazraki; and 90-year-old Italian Singer, Teddy Reno sang Pope Francis a song written for his birthday.

Pope Francis' support spreads all over the world in both Catholics and non-Catholics. Love for one of the most popular popes can be seen in people of all types, from peasants to celebrities.
