A British study suggests that life after death is an actual phenomenon, and there's evidence to prove it. A study involving more than 2,000 people found that life continues even after the heart stops beating.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - A major study involving over 2,000 individuals has been published in England, showing that life continues even after the heart stops beating. Even after being declared dead, many people report they remain conscious and aware of their surroundings.
At least one case appeared to show a credible out of body experience.
The study came from researchers at the University of Southampton. Their work reveals that people remain conscious up to three minutes after they have been declared dead.
Patients from the US, UK, and Austria where interviewed after they survived cardiac arrest. About 40 percent of the patients said they were aware despite being declared clinically dead.
However, only two percent recalled an out of body experience and were able to recount what was happening, despite being declared dead.
For about half of those who responded said they felt fear at the moment of their death, rather than comfort. Were they on the verge of Hell? The study did not examine this question.
What's most compelling about the study is that consciousness seems to continue even after all brain activity is believed to stop. Brain activity stops within 30 seconds after the heart stops, but in the study doctors learned that the brain was still functioning, forming memories, tho or three minutes after brain activity was supposed to be halted.
In all cases, the patients came back to life and reported their experiences to researchers.
Is this proof of life after death? It's certainly evidence that people do not die at the precise moment of death, and that for a short while, they can still come back.
