Fr. Elias on the Presentation of the Lord and how it is the final celebration of the infancy of Christ when forty days after the birth of Our Lord the Holy Family comes to the temple in Jerusalem for the purification ceremony. Father relates this purification to the Immaculate Conception of Mary and the purification of the human race by the self-sacrifice of Jesus at Calvary and the coming of the Kingdom of God and how we are to become a light to light up the world. Also he relates this to religious life since today is World Day for Consecrated Life. Ave Maria!
