Gospel Reflections Luke 18:9-14
Uploaded by on Mar 8, 2013
In today's Gospel we find Jesus telling a parable that cautions us against self righteousness, against pride. A simple lesson that is so often contrary to our nature. As we repent and experience ongoing conversion we become more aware of the sin that surrounds us in the world but we are not to become self-righteous in our attitude. Yes, in love we call others on, we fight against sinful ways, but never to hold ourselves up as superior, better. "There but for the grace of God go I" is something our Lord would have us keep in our thoughts recognizing we all have sinned and are in need of Christ's grace.
