Fr. Joachim on the need for humility and modesty in religious observance. By not doing this the Pharisees failed to please God and made religion a burden to their fellow man. Humility consists in a true idea of what we are, thinking neither to�highly�of ourselves not�too�lowly, and, in general, thinking about ourselves�less often,�to not be preoccupied with ourselves.
