Sep 03 - Homily: Meek and Humble of Heart
Uploaded by AirMaria on Sep 5, 2010
Today Fr. Ignatius celebrates a votive Mass in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He bases his homily on a reading different from those from the Mass where our Lord describes his Heart as meek and humble. Taking up this yoke of meekness and humility is easy and sweet and is much easier to bear than the yoke of pride and anger that so many choose. As Our Lord says in Mat 15:28-29: 28 Come to me all you that labor and are burdened, and I will refresh you. 29 Take up my yoke upon you, and learn of me, because I am meek, and humble of heart: And you shall find rest to your souls. 30 For my yoke is sweet and my burden light.
