Aug 31 - Homily: The Narrow Gate
Uploaded by AirMaria on Aug 31, 2010
How many will be saved? Our Lord tells us that few will be saved. St. Thomas in his clarity and brevity says, "Those who are saved are in the minority." Why did Our Lord give us this knowledge? He told us that we might never become presumptuous, that we always might be striving to enter the narrow gate. This is a widespread error in our day and age - everyone goes to Heaven. Let us not be fooled by the lukewarmness and religious indifference prevalent today. Let us work out our salvation in fear and trembling. Ave Maria!
