The Gospel today is the account of the miracle at the marriage feast of Cana where Jesus turns water into wine at the request of His mother. Father explains how this passage is not a disparagement of His mother as some would say, but is, in fact, a great honoring of her as Jesus performs his first miracle in the context of a marriage and so underscores the importance of motherhood and family as the best remedy to our modern secular problems.
