Benedict XVI: Bring unity to a world marked by division

The world needs a visible sign of the mystery of unity, and the Catholic Christian and Eastern Orthodox Churches are called to be engaged in this task. Benedict XVI stressed this during his address to the Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Eastern Orthodox Churches and the Catholic Church. In recent days, the sixth meeting of its kind has taken place in Rome. In this respect, the Holy Father noted that the continuation of dialogue, despite the many difficulties, is a sign of hope.
