Autistic Son - Angel Stories

My younger son was diagnosed with a mild form of autism 2 years ago. He will be 5 this week. Before I knew what was wrong, when he was 2, he was very difficult to handle. He didn't understand or even listen to the majority of the things I said. I was exhausted. I took him walking everyday to pick up his big brother at school. The only way to exit was though a parking lot and he did not want to stay in his stroller. I went in one direction and he went in another toward a parked car. I turned and saw him touch the license plate; it had my father's initial on it. My father died when my son was born. I said a little prayer and asked my father to keep my little boy safe. We continued walking home along a busy street. Something took my attention from keeping that constant eye on my son. Maybe it was sheer exhaustion. The next second my son was in the street with traffic stopped in both directions. I ran to pick him up. Later I thought about the angel my father had been to us then. Since then he has "shown up" a few times... when I most need it and least expect it.

Some may never see with earthly eyes these heavenly beings or know that they exist. Many are unaware of the numerous ways they have protected and guided us. We would like to share with you the stories of people who take pleasure in expressing how real angels are.
