The CatholicTV Network to Air Marian Day Programming from the Vatican

WATERTOWN, MA (October 9, 2013) On Saturday October 12th and Sunday October 13th, the CatholicTV Network will air Marian Day programming from the Vatican.

Organized by the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization, Marian Day is part of the celebrations of the Year of Faith - organized by the then Pope Benedict XVI to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the Second Vatican Council. The event also coincides with the anniversary of the last apparition of the Blessed Virgin at Fatima.

On Saturday, October 12, 2013, the CatholicTV Network will air the welcoming of the statue of Our Lady of Fatima by Pope Francis followed by a Marian catechesis with the Holy Father live from Saint Peter's Square at 11am ET. The event will rebroadcast at 8pm.

On Sunday, October 13, 2013, the CatholicTV Network will air the Holy Mass presided over by His Holiness Francis on the occasion of Marian Day following the recitation of the Angelus Domini. The event will air live at 4:30am ET and rebroadcast at 12:30pm and 8pm.
