Father William Murphy, Blessed John XXIII National Seminary, to Appear on the CatholicTV Network

WATERTOWN, MA (October 4, 2013) On Tuesday, October 8, 2013, Father William Murphy of Blessed John XXIII National Seminary will appear on the nationally broadcast talk show, This is the Day to discuss the canonization for Blessed John XXIII and Blessed John Paul II.

On September 30, 2013, Pope Francis held the Public Ordinary Consistory for the forthcoming Canonization of Blessed Pope John XXIII and Blessed Pope John Paul II. During the course of the Consistory in the Vatican's Consistory Hall, the Pope decreed that his two predecessors will be raised to Sainthood on April 27, 2014, the day on which the Church celebrates the Second Sunday of Easter and Divine Mercy.

Father Murphy will discuss the Rome pilgrimage the Blessed John XXIII Seminary community has planned for the canonization, and other events surrounding the canonization. Blessed John XXIII National Seminary is a Roman Catholic professional and graduate theological institution dedicated uniquely to the preparation of seminarians thirty years of age and older responding to a call to priestly ministry.
