Six-term incumbent Reid has lost popularity and may not recover.

Harry Reid is falling from power as Republicans are seizing on his supporting the wrong side in a dispute against Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy. It is strongly alleged that the incident which nearly sparked a shooting conflict was spurred on by Reid who hoped to conclude a deal with China for use of the land.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Republicans are saying that now is the best chance to unseat Harry Reid (D-NV) the Senate Majority leader who has spearheaded many of Obama's political ambitions through the Senate.

Reid has lost credibility after it was revealed that he was closely affiliated with a Chinese firm that wanted the federal land on which Cliven Bundy was grazing his cattle for a solar plant deal. Reid has also spoken harshly about Bundy and said the conflict between Bundy and federal officials is "not over."

Cliven Bundy has been roundly denounced as a scofflaw who has not paid fees for his cattle to graze on federal lands for two decades. The roundup and seizure of his herd was the latest effort by federal officials to uphold court orders to make him pay.

However, the means by which the Bureau of Land Management and other federal officials undertook the operation upset most Americans. The Bundy family was literally besieged by a paramilitary force, were dialed in by snipers for taking photos, and their property was seized and improvements destroyed, far in excess of the court order.

The entire operation was seen as an example of federal overreach. It also didn't help that federal officials tried to restrict protests to "free speech areas" and failed to communicate with the public about the legality of the seizure. They also lied, saying the effort was to preserve the habitat of an endangered desert tortoise.

The feds were repelled with a show of force from citizen militias who arrived at the Bundy ranch armed and ready to say no to federal agents.

Despite the bad press for the Obama administration and the ultimate failure of the operation, Harry Reid came down squarely for the feds, setting himself in opposition to many people in his own home state, including the governor and other officials who condemned the federal activity as a violation of Nevada state sovereignty.

Reid is a five-term incumbent, which means he has made a long career of liberal politics. He has been described as "Obama's bodyguard" and he was instrumental in seeing Obamacare passed into law and blocking all efforts to repeal it.

Republicans in other states have been critical of senators who vote in lock-step with Reid. Various races across the country have Republican contenders making comparisons to Democratic incumbents, accusing them as serving as "rubber stamps" for Reid.

We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.

Reid has lost popularity in Nevada, since he exposed himself as an unequivocal supporter of the Obama administration and its militant policies, even against the interests of Nevada, the state he is supposed to represent.

It appears possible that he could lose his next election. Also, senators in other states seen as siding with Reid on most or all issues might share in his unpopular fate.

Republicans, who were declared DOA in October are planning to make a huge comeback as the slow-motion failure of Obamacare and public disgust for the Obama administration provoke public ire.
