Planned Parenthood is An Evil Organization That Takes the Lives of Children

We must not neglect this evil. We must confront it and overcome it. That is why the Lord of Life sends us men and women like Bernie Nathanson, Abby Johnson - and now Marianne Anderson - to keep the truth always before us. We must not back down in the greatest human rights struggle of our age, the struggle to restore the recognition of the fundamental Right to Life

There is no moral distinction between what Planned Parenthood does and the intentional killing of a child outside of the womb. In addition, the time thresholds of "viability" under the insane and indefensible structure forced upon us by the Supreme Court's Roe and Doe decisions keep getting pushed back as our technology reveals the truth about our smallest neighbors. Science has confirmed what our consciences have known all along, every procured abortion kills a child. Our positive or civil law has rejected the Natural Law Right to Life and its prohibition against these intentional homicides committed against our youngest neighbors through procured abortions. Until the positive law is changed to reflect the truth, our tax dollars must no longer be used to engage in this evil.

CHESAPEAKE, VA (Catholic Online) - I recently read an interview with a woman named Marianne Anderson who was formerly employed with Planned Parenthood in their abortion facility at 86th Street and Georgetown Road in Indianapolis, Indiana.

At that evil place, the largest provider of abortions in the State of Indiana, children are killed and mothers are lied to. Ms Anderson recently spoke at a fundraiser for the Great Lakes Gabriel Project http://www.glgabrielproject.org/ which  provides assistance to women facing  difficult or unplanned pregnancies.

In a frank, honest, question session with Natalie Hoefer of the Criterion, the official publication of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, she told the truth behind the evil perpetuated by this organization. Here is only one of the multiple questions and answers:

Q. What was it like working there?

A. "It was a money-grubbing, evil, very sad, sad place to work.We would get yelled at if we didn't answer the phone by the third ring. They would tell us we'd be fired [if we didn't] because they needed the money. They would remind us in our weekly staff meeting that we need to tell everyone [who called to schedule an appointment] to avoid 'those people' [the sidewalk counselors] because we need the money. We were to tell them, 'Don't make eye contact with them, and don't stop in the driveway. If you make eye contact with them or if you stop and roll down your window, they're going to try their darnedest to talk you out of it.' You have to have so many [abortions] a month to stay open. In our meetings they'd tell us, 'If abortions are down, you could get sent home early and not get as many hours.'

"They would allow girls to have ultrasounds that were obviously way too far along [the legal limit for having an abortion in Indiana is 13 weeks and six days]. They said, 'If they want to be seen, you just put them through, no problem,' just taking advantage to make money.I was always getting in trouble for talking too long to the girls, asking if they were sure they wanted to do this.It was absolutely miserable going in there."

Her interview reminded me of the compelling story of Abby Johnson, a former Director of a Planned Parenthood facility, which is set forth in her must read book entitled Unplanned   Like Marianne Anderson, Abby Johnson was confronted with the truth about the dignity of every human life and the evil which occurs during every procured abortion through a sonogram. That truth set her free.

It also reminded me of my friend, the late Dr Bernard Nathanson. I met Bernie Nathanson at a retreat, many years ago, sponsored by the personal prelature of Opus Dei. I will never forget the moment I first saw him. He was kneeling in the chapel, obviously deep in prayer. He seemed profoundly burdened. I had known of him for many years. However, that weekend and for years to come I really came to know him and in receiving the gift of his friendship I was changed.

As an obstetrician, Dr. Bernard N. Nathanson became the director of an abortion clinic where he presided over at least 60,000 abortions. He instructed others who performed 15,000 more abortions. He estimated having personally performed about 5,000 abortions. He acknowledged that he killed his own child, whom he and a girlfriend had conceived in the 1960's. Co-founder of the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws (now NARAL ProChoice America) Bernard Nathanson was a leader of the early abortion movement.

However, that is not how history remembers him. Bernie Nathanson is forever remembered, and deservedly so, as one of the greatest heroes of the Pro-Life movement.   Like Abby Johnson, it was sonogram technology which opened Bernie's eyes. His 1985 film, The Silent Scream, is one of the most powerful testimonies to the truth of what occurs in every procured abortion.

His documentary film, Eclipse of Reason, is very hard to watch. It explains the gruesome procedures used to execute the child in the first home of the whole human race, their own mothers womb. In 1979 he co-authored Aborting America which ripped the veneer of civility off of the beginnings of the abortion movement.

Many years ago, expressing deep anguish, Bernie told me that he helped to come up with the use of the word "choice" to hide the truth of what evil happens in every procured abortion. It was obvious that he felt deeply responsible for the horror that such sophistry unleashed. He also acknowledged that he and his abortionist colleagues lied about the number of women who died from illegal abortions in order to garner support.

In his 1996 autobiography, The Hand of God, the weight of all of this is made clear. He wrote, "Abortion is now a monster so unimaginably gargantuan that even to think of stuffing it back into its cage is ludicrous beyond words. Yet that is our charge - a herculean endeavor." He openly acknowledged "I am one of those who helped usher in this barbaric age."

In 1996 Bernie was baptized into Christ and His Church by Cardinal John O'Connor in New York's St. Patrick's Cathedral and received confirmation and first Communion. He wrote of the day, "I was in a real whirlpool of emotion, and then there was this healing, cooling water on me, and soft voices, and an inexpressible sense of peace. I had found a safe place."

Abby Johnson noted the effect that Bernie's book had upon her in an interview I had with her back in 2011.  Now, it is Abby Johnson's book, "Unplanned", which is doing the same for many people. I have always been deeply moved by the biblical account of the woman who washed the feet of Jesus at the Pharisees home with ointment and tears, weeping with love and kissing them. (Luke 7:36-50) Jesus said of her, "she has shown great love. But the one to whom little is forgiven, loves little."

Abby knows she has been forgiven much. Her genuine humility moved me deeply during that 2011 interview. I told Abby that of the many commendable efforts in which she is engaged, I was most moved by her efforts to encourage people to work and pray with her for the conversion of those engaged in the evil of the abortion industry. She told me she had gotten some "flak" for the effort but insisted "I know how powerful that is."

She acknowledged it was the Pro-Life people of prayer who "prayed me out of there", referring to her involvement as a Director at Planned Parenthood. She continued "I know the power of prayer for specific people."  Abby reminded me that "There is a place for everybody in the pro-Life movement. We have neglected the most important evil of our time, the taking of innocent human lives for convenience."

We must not neglect this evil. We must confront it and overcome it. That is why the Lord of Life sends us men and women like Bernie Nathanson, Abby Johnson - and now Marianne Anderson  - to keep the truth always before us. We must not back down in the greatest human rights struggle of our age, the struggle to restore the recognition of the fundamental Right to Life.

On April 26, 2013, the President of the United States, Barack Obama, was the main speaker at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC at the Annual Fundraising Banquet for the organization called Planned Parenthood. He was the first US President to ever speak at such an event.

His speech gave a ringing affirmation of the organization, its mission and its plans for the future. It was complete with his now routine rhetorical sophistry. It ended with a profane 'blessing' of their work at the end. The President of the United States of America ended this speech in which he extolled this evil organization with these words, Thank you, Planned Parenthood.  God bless you.  God bless America.

By changing the time of the keynote address, they duped some otherwise sincere sources into reporting that it was the pressure put upon the office of the President to not give the keynote address which got him to change his plans.  Reports multiplied that he had backed down from giving the keynote address as if it was some kind of success.

Clearly, whether a speech is given at eleven in the morning or eight in the evening, when it was given by the President of the United States, it was the keynote address. For any of my readers who want to read what the President said, the White House was happy to provide the full transcript. You can read it here

I was not surprised by its content. However, I was most disturbed by his closing, profane effort to extend some kind of blessing on the evil activities of this organization. My colleague, Andrew Greenwell, a great writer and lawyer, addressed the nature of the "god" to whom the President appealed in a stunningly blunt and insightful article entitled False gods: Obama Proclaims, 'Thank you, Planned Parenthood. god bless you'

The Obama administration is hostile to our first neighbor, the child in the womb. They refuse to hear the cry of those whom Blessed Teresa rightly called the "poorest of the poor" - while purporting to be a friend to the poor on so many fronts. They routinely deny an entire class of persons, children in the womb, of the first and most fundamental human right, the Right to Life.

This fundamental Human Right to Life is revealed by the Natural Law, confirmed by medical science, and affirmed in the Birth Certificate of the Nation, the Declaration of Independence. It is denied by this President and his administration. Instead he stands with an evil organization which supports an evil counterfeit; what they call a "right" to take the life of children in the womb based on little but convenience.

Planned Parenthood is built on a lie. They dress themselves up as a Health Care Provider and include the taking of the lives of innocent children in the womb as a "service" under their offering of "reproductive services". Their web site tells visitors they are "America's most trusted provider of reproductive health care".  Really? Ask the victims. Sorry, you can't.

Planned Parenthood has insinuated itself into the global delivery of "medical services" and receives massive government funding. Included in these purported "medical services" is the intentional killing of children in the womb by abortion. There is nothing reproductive about abortion. The taking of innocent human life is not health care. It is certainly not a service to the child, the mother, the father or society.

Every time I read about Planned Parenthood and see the smiling face of its leaders, especially Cecille Richards, I am reminded of my childhood, reading Superman comics. I date myself by mentioning the Bizarro world. However, many of my readers will remember the strange upside down world of the Bizarro's.

The Bizarro's inhabited a planet called "Htrae" ("Earth" spelled backwards). Their code was "Us do opposite of all Earthly things! Us hate beauty! Us love ugliness! Is big crime to make anything perfect on Bizarro World!" Planned Parenthood promotes a Bizarro world.

Planned Parenthood must be exposed, opposed and de-funded. This is happening on the State level  and the efforts must continue. Authentic Health Care Providers who truly provide health care services - and respect the fundamental human right to life - should receive their funding. They should also compete with them at every level.

Planned Parenthood charges women, many of whom are deceived and are themselves the second victims, for killing their own children. The "medical professionals" who carry out the evil act use surgical strikes, brutal suction or what they euphemistically now call a "medication abortion" (chemical weapons) to cause their death. Then, they are being paid for the evil act with some of our tax dollars.

Every procured abortion is the intentional taking of innocent human life in the first home of the whole human race. Every person alive today began their human life in that sanctuary of life, the womb. No one with any integrity or genuine moral sensibility any longer claims that the child in the womb, whom we now surgically operate on and can see clearly in 4D images, is not a human being.

The argument being made to try and justify this killing of our youngest neighbors is the perverse claim that freedom entitles one with more power to hire a so called "medical professional" to reach inside the sanctuary of the womb and take the life of a vulnerable and innocent child.

Of course, we would not make the same argument about a one year old child living outside of the womb, in the nursery. In fact, to compound the evil, this administration insists that federal tax dollars should be made available to pay the one who commits the evil act.

We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.
