LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Netflix customers will have to wait until 2016 before they can start watching Disney movies via the popular streaming service, however Netflix will be allowed to stream those programs in many cases right after their theater runs expire. That means Disney fans will have a tremendous incentive to subscribe.
Disney will also allow Netflix to start streaming some older titles immediately.
The announcement helped Netflix's stock rise significantly while the price of Starz stock fell by five percent.
Netflix is continually trying to expand their library of offerings on their streaming service, which many customers complain is still too limited. The deal with Disney will help to alleviate those complaints.
