Una foto manipulada del Obispo Emérito de Roma, Benedicto XVI, usada para promover un cineforum gay en la Universidad Estatal de Milán (Italia), ha generado polémica en ese país pues ha sido considerada como "blasfema" y ofensiva para los católicos en el país.

ROMA (ACI/EWTN Noticias) - La imagen fue utilizada para el evento "Cineforum Homosexualidad y Religión", organizado por el Colectivo Gay Estatal Milano, que se define como "un grupo político y no partidista que reúne a estudiantes LGBT (lesbianas, gay, bisexuales y transexuales) de la Universidad de Milán".

En la foto retocada se exhibe a Benedicto XVI maquillado de forma femenina, con las mejillas, las cejas, las pestañas y los labios pintados.

Ante las críticas, el grupo organizador dijo "atención a la censura. El verdadero problema no es la provocación sino la homofobia".

Por su parte, el diario italiano Il Giornale criticó la publicidad del grupo gay, asegurando que se trata de una obra "blasfema y una ofensa para toda la comunidad católica", que se ha realizado con "dinero público del estado", refiriéndose al carácter estatal de la Universidad de Milán.

Según denunció el Doctor en Derecho Tommaso Scandroglio, en una columna publicada en La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana, el colectivo homosexual recibió de la Universidad Estatal de Milán 4 mil euros (aproximadamente 5 400 dólares), para la realización de este evento.

Andrea Nicolussi, jurista de la Universidad Católica de Milán, indicó que si bien no se sintió "escandalizado" por la publicidad del grupo gay, esta es "una provocación paradójica, ya que quien combate la discriminación está, a su vez, discriminando".

"Como católico, me ha sorprendido el hecho de que el Papa Emérito, como ser humano, ha sido tratado mal. Es una persona anciana que ha escogido retirarse de la vida pública y su voluntad ha sido violada", dijo.

El político italiano Aldo Brandirali calificó la publicidad del evento gay como "un ejemplo del odio religioso" y un vilipendio del "ex jefe de un Estado extranjero".

"Para estos grupos que promueven la ideología de género el derecho a la homosexualidad se convierte en derecho a la cristianofobia", criticó.
