Por primera vez se llevará a cabo en Perú la Expo Misionera DOMUND 2013, cuyo fin es que las personas conozcan "los diferentes carismas misioneros" en el país y "la riqueza de la iglesia de estos héroes que entregan su vida para ayudar precisamente a la gente más necesitada", de acuerdo al Director Nacional de Obras Misionales Pontificias (OMP), P. Víctor Livori.

(ACI/EWTN Noticias) - En diálogo con ACI Prensa, el P. Livori señaló la importancia de este evento que reunirá mañana, 19 de octubre, a alrededor de 20 diferentes congregaciones religiosas, religiosos y laicales que darán a conocer las misiones que realizan en diferentes lugares del país.

El presbítero resaltó que gracias al apoyo del Congresista peruano Juan Carlos Eguren, la exposición se llevará a cabo en el atrio de la Plaza Bolívar del Congreso de la República, de 9:00 a.m. hasta las 2.00 p.m. (hora local) y contará con representaciones culturales en su mayoría preparadas por los misioneros provenientes de África.

El P. Livori dijo además que esta es una forma de concientizar a las personas sobre el trabajo "heroico" que realizan tanto los misioneros que llegan de otros países al Perú como de aquellos peruanos que salen al mundo.

Otro propósito de esta iniciativa, dijo el sacerdote, es enseñar a las personas la importancia de ofrecer la oración y el ayuno "por los misioneros para que puedan cumplir esta misión tan grande", y agregó que también se debe ofrecer el dolor y el sufrimiento.

A su vez, subrayó la importancia de ayudar económicamente a través de la colecta pública del DOMUND, que en Perú se realizará, a nivel parroquial, este domingo 20 y a nivel público el 24 y 25 de octubre, con el fin de poder financiar proyectos de promoción humana de "los misioneros que dan su vida para poder anunciar el Evangelio".

Este domingo también se realizará una jornada de oración y ayuno en tres lugares distintos de la ciudad de Lima, de 9:00 a.m. a 5:00 p.m.

El fin de esta jornada es solidarizarse con los niños y adultos que hoy sufren hambre.

El P. Livoro alentó a todos a ser parte de estas actividades que crearán "conciencia misionera entre todos los bautizados".
