El Arzobispado de Bahía Blanca (Argentina) denunció la profanación de la capilla de la Casa de Espiritualidad "La Asunción", en la que un grupo aún no identificado produjo destrozos en el interior y profanó el sagrario, robando las hostias consagradas que se conservaban bajo llave en el tabernáculo de mármol y bronce.

BUENOS AIRES (ACI/EWTN Noticias) - La comunidad que atiende la casa de retiros encontró puertas rotas, placares abiertos y restos del sagrario desperdigados por la propiedad. Según reconstruyeron, los malvivientes tiraron el sagrario al suelo, forzaron la cerradura y sustrajeron el copón con el Santísimo Sacramento.

Más allá del robo y de los daños materiales, la comunidad católica afirmó sentirse "profundamente dolida y consternada" por este acto de profanación de la Eucaristía, "que constituye el tesoro más grande de la Iglesia en el que se venera la presencia real del cuerpo y la sangre de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo".

El encargado del lugar, Jorge Regalado, fue quien comunicó la noticia a la comunidad. "Para mí fue la amargura más grande que pude haber recibido en toda mi vida. Lamentablemente, buscaban eso", expresó el celador a AICA.

La curia local informó que también se sustrajeron otros elementos de valor del interior del templo, una máquina cortadora de césped y un caloventor. Los daños fueron advertidos en la mañana del jueves 14, por lo que se cree que los delincuentes actuaron la noche anterior. "Es un lugar apartado de fácil acceso, como si fuera un parque dentro de la ciudad", explicó Regalado.

Ante lo sucedido, el Arzobispo de Bahía Blanca, Mons. Guillermo José Garlatti, pidió que se ofrezca en todas las parroquias y comunidades la celebración de la santa misa y oraciones especiales en desagravio y reparación por este hecho "que no sólo llena de dolor, sino que también afecta a los sentimientos más nobles de los fieles cristianos católicos".

En el predio de la Casa de Espiritualidad, ubicada en calle Rincón 3910, en las afueras de Bahía Blanca, funciona una escuela en sus tres niveles.

Antiguamente, el predio pertenecía al seminario metropolitano. Esta mañana, la comunidad educativa participó de una primera misa de desagravio al Santísimo Sacramento.
