LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The men gave their account to Bret Baier, bringing to light starting new information about the September 11, 2012 incident that saw four Americans killed, which the Obama administration and its allies would like to lay dead.

You can be a light in the darkness with "prayer and action."

Speaking publicly for the first time, three security operators at the CIA annex in Benghazi-the first responders to any attack on the mission-gave their full account on a Fox News special which aired on September 5.

The three contractors-Kris Paronto, Mark Geist and John Tiegen-spoke at length about what they saw and did that night, ending nearly two years of speculation.

When word reached the CIA annex of the attack on the compound, the security team was geared up and ready to move to the compound in just five minutes.

"Five minutes, we're ready," said Paronto, a former Army Ranger. "It was thumbs up, thumbs up, we're ready to go."

But the team was not given authorization to move to the compound. The top CIA officer in Benghazi, whom they called "Bob" delayed their response.

"It had probably been 15 minutes I think, and . I just said, 'Hey, you know, we gotta-- we need to get over there, we're losing the initiative,'" said Tiegen. "And Bob just looks straight at me and said, 'Stand down, you need to wait.'"

"We're starting to get calls from the State Department guys saying, 'Hey, we're taking fire, we need you guys here, we need help,'" said Paronto.

After 30 minutes of delay, the security team headed out to the consulate without orders, and asked the CIA superiors to call for air support, which never arrived.

The security team believes that if they had not been delayed and if the air support had come, things might have turned out differently.

"Ambassador Stevens and Sean [Smith], yeah, they would still be alive, my gut is yes," Paronto said. Tiegen concurred.

"I strongly believe if we'd left immediately, they'd still be alive today," he added.
