In his new children's book, Pope Francis answers letters from children around the world.

Pope Francis released a book called "Dear Pope Francis: The Pope Answers Letter from Children Around the World" to tackle big questions little children wanted answers to.

Highlights

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - According to Vatican Radio, Pope Francis' children's book will contain thirty letters children from around the world sent to him while seeking answers to some of life's important questions.

Layola Press will be publishing the book, which contains specific questions hand-picked from the 259 questions from 26 countries in 14 different languages they received.

The book, which is set to be available March 1 and hosts questions from Catholic and non-Catholic children aged six to 13, also contains pictures drawn to accompany each question.

Father Paul Campbell, SJ, is "Dear Pope Francis'" editor. Campbell sat with Vatican Radio for an interview, in which he explained, "One of the lines we use to describe this book is: Little children have big questions. Yes they [sic] are questions from little children, but they are very, very profound questions."

When Tom McGrath, of Layola Press, brought Pope Francis 50 letters to choose from, Pope Francis hand-picked thirty to be present in the book and often complimented the pictures that accompanied each.

While describing the book, Campbell emphasized how Pope Francis' "profound sensitivity" to children's suffering is apparent.

"I believe it was William from the United States who asked the question if you could cause one miracle...what would it be? And the Holy Father said 'to stop the suffering of children,'" Campbell recalled. "And it is very clear to me that the Holy Father's heart is full of compassion for those who suffer."

The Huffington Post reported another question 10-year-old Mohammed asked, "Dear Pope Francis, will the world be again as it was in the past?"

Mohammed wrote to the pontiff from a Syrian school for refugee children.

Pope Francis responded: "There are those who manufacture weapons so that people fight each other and wage war. There are people who have hate in their hearts. There are people who are more interested only in money and would sell everything for it. They would even sell other people.

"No, when the time comes, the world will not be as it was," the Pope replied. "It will be far better than it was in the past."
