LOS ANGELES, CA - Those who are studying this out, scientists, say that this Ebola is a different strain from those that have gone before. It may spread easier. It may go airborne. It may have an incubation period of longer than 21 days. Clearly, there is something to be concerned about.
'Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it.' We are told in the history books of the bubonic plague, the Black Death, spread by rats, and which overcame Europe in the Middle Ages. In spite of this, there has not yet been an outcry of demand to stop flights from West Africa. It is time to awaken to the dangers of Ebola and to demand a travel ban from West Africa. While they often act otherwise, at the end of the day, those who are in positions of authority to stop this do become legally responsible if they do not do their job to stop this plague. They know that. However, often in politics, the path of political correctness and the path of least resistance is taken. It is up to the citizens to hold the feet of those in authority "to the fire".
It is up to the citizens to let those in positions of authority know that we watch, and that watching, we will know if they have taken a stand against letting Ebola into the country or not.
Consider this. If this is not stopped, the day may come when, like their current policy towards West Africa, the rest of the world will no longer accept flights coming out of the United States. The United States may not be willing to seal its borders, but other nations are doing so successfully against Ebola, and if the United States becomes as toxic with Ebola as other nations, there is nothing to prevent that kind of travel ban against the United States itself.
