Catholic Online unveils world's largest online Catholic Shopping mall

Merchants could save thousands in annual overhead with new online model.

Last year, Catholic Online impressed visitors with a new site design and layout. Now, the next series of changes are about to begin as Catholic Online opens the world's largest virtual marketplace. The new marketplace will allow one-stop shopping for anyone looking to buy Catholic products at the best prices.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The Catholic Online Marketplace is set to be the single largest one-stop shopping experience for Catholic products. Store owners both virtual and real are expected to come on board and take advantage of the new ability to put unlimited listings online without paying a penny more for the privilege.

Marshall Connolly, Director of Marketing for Catholic Online said, "I love going to my local Catholic bookstore, but this is going to be just as enjoyable. Now I finally get to visit something more akin to a full-sized Catholic shopping mall, and I don't have to fight for parking either. It's going to be a fun experience for shoppers."

The look and feel of the page is still in development, but shops will have the option of either linking directly to their site, or listing their products directly in the Marketplace for shopping convenience. The pricing will be simple too, with shops only paying $149 to $99 per month for unlimited listings.

"Naturally, the longer their contract, the smaller the price," Connolly said.

Online shopping is gradually overtaking the old-fashioned brick-and-mortar storefront as the way to go. Chief among reasons are convenience, the ability to comparison shop, and the lower prices found online because merchants enjoy low overhead in the virtual marketplace.

Merchants who go virtual with unlimited listings could post their entire inventory online and do away with brick and mortar altogether. The savings could reach thousands of dollars per year all while enjoying more traffic than ever before.

"Often, even with shipping, I can still save money over my Catholic local store," Connolly explained. Of course, I want to support my local shop, so I plan to chat with the owner and see if she'll come on-board. Really, you can't beat it for both price and volume. In fact, I'd dare to suggest that you can't afford not to do it in this day and age."

Connolly is right. Catholic Online already enjoys millions of unique visitors each month, and since the redesign of the front page, site traffic has jumped from a third over last year with spikes of one-half more traffic than ever before. This means a lot more potential shoppers.

Connolly also explained that Catholic Online will be doing more internal marketing to direct people to the Catholic Online Marketplace this year.

Catholic Online visitors will enjoy a number of changes and tweaks over the year to come as the company is enjoying the greatest success it has had in years.

"Tell them that right now's a great time to come on board," Connolly concluded.

What a great idea! I attend a secular university and we live in a rural area. The closest town has no Catholic Products for sale at all! Can't wait!
