The Heart's Witness Against Muhammad: The Murder of Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf

invited into Maslama's fort.  The plan among the conspiring assassins was to compliment al-Ashraf on his perfumed hair, and, when he was distracted, to cut off his head.

The plan worked, and together Maslama and Abu Naila cut of Muhammad's enemy's head.

According to the Muslim historian Ibn Ishaq, the Muslim poet Ka'b bin Malik (who should be distinguished from the murdered Jewish poet and political enemy of Muhammad, Ka'b ibn al-Ashraf) said:

"Sword in hand we cut [Ka'b] down.
By Muhammad's order when he sent secretly by night Ka'b's brother to go to Ka'b.
He beguiled him and brought him down with guile.
Mahmoud [bin Maslama] was trustworthy, bold."

Ibn Sa'd's Tabaqat records Muhammad's delight at the successful murder of his political opponent:

"Then they cut his head and took it with them [and] . . . they cast his head before him [Muhammad]. He (the prophet) praised Allah on his being slain."

Allahu akhbar.  The pseudo-prophet can rejoice at an innocent man's death, just like many of his followers could rejoice at the attack of the Twin Towers on 9/11, and the deaths of thousands who did none of their killers wrong.  This is what happens when you are the prosecutor, the alleged victim, and the judge.  The defendant, even if innocent, has no voice. This is because, in Islam, Allah and his messenger know best, Allahu wa rasulluhu a'lam.

This is the Muslim mantra that blinds him to the fact that his alleged prophet is a sinner, a violator of the natural law, and most certainly not an authentic prophet.

To exchange reason for Muhammad's Islam is a Mephistophelian bargain.

What you express are opinions and giving them as fact .
    You state
"and remember that just like us, the average Muslim doesn't take every word of every passage as literal and intended for today." ((religious slackers who will fall into line if and when sharia (whatever form) is introduced))
    and
The enemy isn't ISLAM. It's EXTREMISM... (wrong again)

Opinions not based on fact are worthless and we are talking about Islam

so we must define moderate within the context of islam and the only way to do that is to look at the person where it all started "Muhammed" and what do we find - A thief, torturer, murderer, rapist et al----In fact the complete antithesis to Jesus
Now this example of moderation is what the koran tells muslims is the best example for mankind to follow
    It is also written
Sura 8:55 Verily, The worst of moving (living) creatures before Allâh are those who
    disbelieve
sura 4:144 O ye who believe! Take not for friends unbelievers rather than believers: Do ye wish to offer Allah an open proof against yourselves?
sura 5:51 O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo!
    Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.
sura 60:4 "hostility and hate"will exist between Muslims and infidels "for ever"until
the latter "believe in Allah alone."

    You state
"Or, maybe we can apply the same grace and dignity we accord our own holy books"

Now you Tell me how I can respect someone whose holy "eternal" book states I am the vilest of creatures and instructs that I am inferior and should not be befriended
(the exception is the illusion of friendship, for dawa purposes)
and who under sharia must pay the "Don't kill me tax" known as Jizya.....What does this respect do for me or them

There is not enough information in the koran (nor any context) to enable one to become a muslim and so we require the Sira and Sunna of Muhammed

As to the koran, sira and sunna we must look to the mufti who when questioned about fundamentalists taking the koran literally; replies as follows :-
"At the outset, it is important to clarify the term fundamentalists. In Islam, there is no such term. Does it mean one who follows Islam in totality? As Muslims, the Laws of Allah and the Sunnah of Rasulullah subjugate us. Islam provides a complete and comprehensive way of life. In numerous verses of the Quraan, we are encouraged to follow Deen in totality. As Muslims, we cannot practice those Laws that suit us and discard the others. Nevertheless, the Quraan is absolute and infallible. One cannot interpret the Quraan as he/she desires. There have been grave warnings for those who interpret the Quraan without having the necessary knowledge to do so. There is no modern taught to the Quraan. Those who claim a modern taught to the Quraan do so to suit their own whims and fancies."
(note the koran is absolute and infallible)

PM Erdogan commented on the term “moderate Islam”, ‘These descriptions are very ugly, it is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that’s it.”

You must also bear in mind that a muslim is obliged to lie about his religion if it benefits islam, where if he told the truth it would not.

Al-Quran is the eternal miracle. It is the last Book of Allah sent for the guidance of humanity through the last Prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him (PBUH).
Redeemer of the sinners, the Mercy unto the Worlds – Muhammad (p) and his progeny, the Clean, the Pure and the Infallible ones.

Dear Karl. Thank you for pointing this out. Since it is your choice, so I will stick to it. Please notice, that God did not call King David the one after His heart after King David killed (ordered) that man. It is because King David realized his wrong doing. Read Psalms and King David's heart pouring for God and others. Yes, King David was a sinner the way I am, and the way you are, and the way Muhammad was. The difference between King David and Muhammad is the same as between Saint Peter and Judas. Since you are reading the Scripture, which is awesome, make sure you open your heart, and not your mind. Let God explain you how much He Loves you, and everyone else. If you keep searching to prove your opinions, you will be taking stuff out of context, and at the end you will stay lost with your opinions. Have been there, done that, and it is a dark, and dead-end alley. God Bless you.

@KarlVDH: Just several observations. First, Scripture must be understood as the Church understands it, that is in the light of Christ. St. Augustine, for example, had a rule regarding Scriptural interpretation that you seem to have overlooked. He said that any Scripture must be understood as consonant with charity (love of God and love of neighbor), and that any interpretation of Scripture which was uncharitable against God or neighbor was ipso facto false. This is how he would have understood some of the literally objectionable parts of the Old Testament in particular. One cannot take Psalm 137:9, e.g, "Blessed is he who seizes your infants and dashes them against a rock," and argue that we should be taking infants and dashing them against rocks. This must be understood within the light of charity which obviously means this must be understood in a figurative manner (perhaps with reference to our inchoate sins.)

King David's sin with Bathsheba, and his treatment of Uriah, is hardly touted as virtue. In fact, King David is confronted by Nathan and repents of his sin. "Nathan said to David, “Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. . . . . Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” Muhammad never repented of his sexual sins, nor of his violence. Even while dying he was making plans to murder his political enemies. The difference between Muhammad and David is vast.

More than that, you have misrepresented the "apple of my eye" verse. This is actual a prayer by David (in Psalm 17:8): "Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings." This is not God calling David the "apple of his eye," and certainly not as a result of what he did with Batsheba and with Uriah.

Finally, David never called himself an exemplary man, a perfect man, and example for all mankind. Read the penitent psalms he may have authored. On the other hand, Muhammad did. The Qur'an sets him forth as the example for all men. If Muhammad had not been held out by the Qur'an as the perfect human, the moral exemplar for all men, the al-insan al-kamil, there would be nothing to talk about, since all manner of sins could then be expected.

I know that not every Muslim takes the verses of the Qur'an literally. I know that many Muslims are unfamiliar with the Qur'an and unfamiliar with the Sunna. Islam is hardly monolithic, and experts tend to speak therefore of Islams and not Islam. However, I was not addressing myself to Muslims and their good faith. That was not the subject matter of my article. I was addressing myself to the historical Muhammad as represented by Islamic historical sources considered reputable by Muslim scholars, the 'umma. What this Muslim may believe or that Muslim may believe is not really relevant to how Muhammad is presented in the Qur'an, in the Sunna, and in the Sirat.

Think our faith is immune? our history, even our scriptures don't contain stories and passages equally as disturbing as anything to be found in the koran?
    King David started a war and murdered a man in order to have extramarital sex with his wfe, who he spotted voyueristically while she was bathing. God, in the Bible, calls this peeping tom murderer, "thhe Apple of my Eye." maube we could study some of the Old Testament verses in which God calls for the slaughter of women in children, or in which he directs people be taken as slaves, or in which he orders the rape of women captured in war;
Or, maybe we can apply the same grace and dignity we accord our own holy books, and remember that just like us, the average Muslim doesn't take every word orf every passage as literal and intended for today.
Good heavens, people, don't you get it?? EDUCATE yourselves- thiss sort of fear mongering plays right into the Terrorists' hands... it's EXACTLY what they WANT!!
The enemy isn't ISLAM. It's EXTREMISM... and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something wit an agenda.
