French protesters march against same-sex marriage... while others cheerfully encouraging people to break their marriage vows

Slogan for Web site reads 'Life is short. Have an affair'

As the largely Catholic population has taken to the streets to protest the government's sanctions on same-sex marriage, an entirely different assault on marriage is taking place. Ashley Madison, a Canadian extra-marital dating website has begun to post advertisements in prominent places. The Web site's slogan is simply "Life is short. Have an affair."

This is sick ... encouraging women to cheat on their husbands.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - One advertisement depicts a married woman placing her forefinger over her lips, to signify discretion with the following tagline: "It's 6 pm. Do you know where your wife is?"

Ashley Madison's first campaign was shunned by advertisers for fear of being sued by a former French president, who just so happened to have affair and was featured in the ad. The current poster is visible on no less than 100 metro platforms in Paris.

As France 24's Caroline Clarkson points out, the people who manage the advertising in the metro are the same ones who made Jacques Tati appear without his pipe due to strict anti-smoking regulations.

Clarkson notes the contradiction with the hordes of anti-gay marriage advocates taking to the streets at the same time, while the Web site offered an entirely different attack upon traditional marriage.

"Clearly visible to children and teenagers," Clarkson said, the ads were "cheerfully encouraging people to break their marriage vows. What seems particular scandalous is the idea that woman are being encouraged to deliberately look for an affair by signing up for the Web site.

"Luckily, I'm not the only one in France who has noticed that the ancient institution of marriage involving a man and a woman, to whom the anti-gay marriage activists seem so attached, is no longer what it was. Back in November 2012, French journalist Christophe Barbier, the managing editor of center-right magazine L'Express, penned an editorial in which he announced his support for the government's bill.

"While backing equal marriage rights for same-sex couples, Barbier declared that marriage itself is an 'obsolete institution.' He added: 'In the era of globalization and of the fulfilled and mobile individual, this norm [of marriage] is as artificial as it is inefficient, as shown by the fact that divorce has become commonplace.' He finished on the following note: 'Civil unions for all!'"

In the meantime, anti-same sex marriage activists are busy leafleting cities and towns. On reads "This bill intends to challenge the basis of human identity: sexual difference and the filiations that results from it.

"The people of France must rise up for their children, their future, and our humanity, made up of a man and a woman!"

Liberals hate marriage. This has been evident for decades in the Liberal sphere of politics, entertainment, music, and education.

Was looking as some of the pictures from the March for All in Paris yesterday am am struck by the numbers of people that attended. Thought it was neat how pink and blue became their official protest colors. Here in the US, and in my home city of Chicago, Illinois, it is disturbing how the mainstream media ignores Protests like this one defending Family and Marriage but will cover anything and everything related to gay marriage. In Illinois, democratic liberal career politicians are making passing gay marriage the cause of their political careers and so aren't interested in hearing what the people have to say in defense of Marriage.

This is not surprising. Shortly after Canada ok'd homosexual equivalency the polyamorists started their own parades looking for recognition. For those who don't know, polyamory is essentially "loving" multiple people and having an "open relationship." People who practice this lifestyle would have the rest believe they have a super strong relationship and jealousy is overcome. I've even read that some are putting a religious spin on it saying polyamory is how we will love in heaven. This is totally false and a twisted interpretation of divine love. I think gone are the days when we can pretend these sexual extremes don't exist or are limited to a minority of the population.

People of this persuasion always push these activities on the premises of a faux love. Let me ask you this. What shows greater love? A man and woman who by God take charge of their urges and direct them only towards each other or the ones that cannot conquer their desires? Desire serving a person is desire but a person serving desire is chaos. This needs to be our message. There used to be a sense of sacredness in forsaking all others for ones beloved. When we restore people's sight for recognizing that sacredness things will (hopefully) change.

I feel so sad. The world is going haywire. What is the meanin of 'same sex' marriage? This completely contravenes God's plan for mankind which wants a man to settle with a woman as is evident from God's creation of Eve from Adam to serve as a helper for the purpose of multiplication and pro-creation. How can this beautiful plan of God be achieved by the so called Same sex marriage? The claims which support such practice are unfounded and satanic. This only shows one thing-The end is near. God help us!
