Out of all of this change came Teresa pointing the way from outer turmoil to inner peace. Teresa's father was rigidly honest and pious, but he may have carried his strictness to extremes. Teresa's mother loved romance novels but because her husband ... Continue Reading

How can man murder such beautiful beings with such disrespect and arrogance. Saints always make me want to cry. What a beautiful girl.

I liked the article for my saint project. I took little bits and mixed them up and made them my own.

Wonderful article about perseverance and faith in God. My wife and I visited Avila years ago and her convent. Very spiritual journey. A great Saint and Doctor of the church.

St. Teresa of Avila is a wonderful saint and for those of you who chose her as your confirmation name, I applaud you loudly! Her life was fantastic and the beginning very like any teenager's life. NEWSFLASH FOR ANYONE WHO SAYS ROMANCE NOVELS ARE BAD AND CATHOLICS SHOULD NOT READ THEM: St. Teresa and her holy mother loved to read them!!!!!! Hint, hint, wink, wink, girls, show your mom this comment and convince her to let you read romance novels!! :) Also, for all the teen girls out there, it is soooo wonderful you are on this site rather than any porn site! Good catholic choice and continue to make them for the rest of your life! I am praying for eveyone on this site! Pray for me too and our President Barack Obama. Pray he will NEVER sigh the Freedom of Choice Act, which completely legalizes abortion, the killing of infants in the womb. Sad, but true. Pray, pray, pray!
    Thank you for reading this.
Note: I'm only twelve, but don't I sound like an adult? :)
