St. Jude, known as Thaddaeus, was a brother of St. James the Less, and a relative of Our Saviour. St. Jude was one of the 12 Apostles of Jesus. Ancient writers tell us that he preached the Gospel in Judea, Samaria, Idumaea, Syria, Mesopotamia, and Lybia. Thank you St. Jude for answering my prayers. You have always been there for me and my family. I have to call upon you again to pray and intercede with God our Father to help my daughter and her son. Please help her to see her situation clearly. I'm praying for her to start a new life. Give her the strength to do what she needs to do. She's waiting for housing to become available. Thank you, St. Jude, for answering my prayer. My daughter was addicted to heroin. It was horrid. Her life seemed lost. If ever there were a desperate situation, this was one. We had little hope of her ever changing. She tried to end her own life several times. So I prayed to St. Jude, and I kept praying...week after week, month after month, year after year. About three months ago, my daughter went to detox and cleaned up. Then she left the city where she lived and moved several hundred miles away to another city. Last week, she earned a paycheck. We are really proud of her, but also grateful to St. Jude for interceding on her and our behalf. We will continue to pray, but, at this point, it appears the combination of her will and our Creator's intervention have moved her away from the addiction that so viciously claimed her. In all, what I hope others get out of this is that there is always hope for those we love if we have faith. For those who have lost friends and family to addiction, my hope is that you might be able to support others in their times of need, for you have endured more than most, and your experiences could be just what it takes to help a parent or loved one remain strong in the face of such horrors.
St Jude I thank you for all you have and continue to do for me and my family. Please help me find the means to continue helping those around me.
