Interview With Dr. Kheriaty: Are Mass Killings the Result of Moral Evil or Mental Illness? Comments

The hypothesis of the devil-a personal spiritual being whose will is turned toward evil and who can exercise some sort of influence over man-may give rise to scorn from rationalists. I challenge the skeptics to find a better explanation for Sandy Hook or Aurora. As Baudelaire famously put it, the devil's greatest trick is convincing us that he does not exist. Continue Reading

A very enlightening article, of course those on the front lines of these spiritual battles know the truth as well and wholeheartedly agree. We have to know how the enemy works to be able to trust God and emboldened our families and friends during these troubling times.
The spiritual armor does lie in pursuing the words from the last paragraph.
Thank you Lord for the Shepard you have given us in Pope Francis and the message to the world today!

    God Bless the world!

Evil is something we adjust our minds to either accepting or rejecting. Lust is a common sin. Most will justify lust by rejecting the fact that sex before marriage, contraception and abortion are sins of lust. Violence is the same way as it is exciting and the subject of so many radio, television, movie or daily news stories. In video games it is played out in a viewer participatory way. War is glorified as necessary violence. There is no morality that is agreed upon these days. The youth have become desensitized to violence and have come to accept it and even to like it for some. Violence for some is as exciting as sex because it is a rush like white water canoeing is. Those with a death wish seem to resort to mass killings as a final and brutal last stand. These people kill innocents in suicide bombings and mass shootings. they are like the old gun slingers of the old west. THE KEY TO THIS INSANITY,IS THAT THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE THE DIRECT PRODUCT OF THE CULTURE OF DEATH THAT BLESSED JOHN PAUL TWO WARNED US ALL AGAINST! Sin manifests itself through desensitization of the sin itself.

The question that used to be asked was "Who will bell the cat" now it comes as "How to bell the cat" especially when the cat is from within.
