This is done in the name of "God"????? Not my God. May our loving Father have mercy on these people who have no mercy. This is a wake up call for us Catholics. We must stand up!!! We must band together - how??? the most holy Rosary!!!! Next to mass, a very powerful heavenly weapon which was requested by Our Lady in 1917. If enough people recited the rosary, we would have the promised peace and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary through the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart - a short 15 minute ceremony and the world would change!!! Holy Father, Please unite with all the bishops and consecrate Russia before it is too late. Listen to the cries of our Mother Mary. Viva Cristo Rey!!!

Here is a good non-denominational prayer for Jews and Christians alike, courtesy of Rudyard Kipling. I have changed exactly two words; Civilization = the Judeo-Christian world.

For all we have and are,
    For all our children's fate,
Stand up and take the war.
The Jihadi is at the gate!
    Our world has passed away,
    In wantonness o'erthrown.
    There is nothing left to-day
But steel and fire and stone!

    Though all we knew depart,
    The old Commandments stand: --
    "In courage keep your heart,
In strength lift up your hand."

Once more we hear the word
That sickened earth of old: --
    "No law except the Sword
    Unsheathed and uncontrolled."
    Once more it knits mankind,
    Once more the nations go
To meet and break and bind
    A crazed and driven foe.

    Comfort, content, delight,
    The ages' slow-bought gain,
    They shrivelled in a night.
    Only ourselves remain
    To face the naked days
    In silent fortitude,
    Through perils and dismays
    Renewed and re-renewed.

    Though all we made depart,
    The old Commandments stand: --
    "In patience keep your heart,
In strength lift up your hand."

    No easy hope or lies
Shall bring us to our goal,
    But iron sacrifice
    Of body, will, and soul.
There is but one task for all --
One life for each to give.
    What stands if Freedom fall?
    Who dies if Civilization live?

This act of barbarism is an atrocity, not because a Catholic priest was murdered but because human beings were murdered. Why is this considered to be any more monstrous because these criminals murdered a priest?

Let us encourage the printing of more Holy Bible in various international, natinal and local languages and dialects to let The Words of Jesus preveils and sustain in the mind of all human race including in the muslim communities. We should make an apeal to the World Christian Council, Anglican Communion, Catholic Ortodox Partriachs, Pope on our behalf as catholis and Eastern Churches' leaders to come out with a gentle persuassive statemnt of concent to the muslim world and their respctive leaders, to the World poverful nations like: America, UK, Russia, Saudi Arabi, Iran and Israel to draw their attention on the cry of innocent women and children arround the world especially in poor African countries like Sudan(Darfur), Somalia, Mali and Northern Nigeria, Pakistan, Afganistan and the whole Meadle East in which is caused by Islamic militants. And actually most of the victims are muslims themselves,
.God bless- Let American Catholics Should be the first to take steps as the world now believe in America more than Rome.

As a priest living in Afghanistan, a country which is almost 100% Muslim, I know the criminal excesses of the militant and insurgent Islamists first hand. I also know that the vast majority of Islamic people are good and prayerful and do not support the barbarism of the jihadists. In this country, it is common to hear said of jihadists: "They are not Muslim!" Eternal rest grant to these men, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

    @ Don

That's what I have been thinking of for a long time.
CC had armed units and influences to stop aggressive islam.

May father Francois pray for us all and his murderers.
