The Vatican has denied that this video is accurate.
Why has it not been removed from the site. The Franciscan was killed by gun fire at the end of June and not beheaded.
    What's the agenda here ?

So what is the deal? Did they execute him or not? I keep seeing conflicting stories.

We have to keep in front of us His Cross, as He bear with gentle and kind even into death. We do not loose our temper and ask His courage and love to love our enimies as He did during His eathly life.

The comments here are glutted with, of all things, the knowledge of good and evil. Two thousand years after Pentecost, no less: "This evil!" "That good!" "Oh my!" "You're not so good as you think!" "This is definitely evil, I would agree . . . but what about THAT evil!" "You'll get yours!" "They'll get theirs!" "They should be doing this." "We should be doing that." "He's a good guy!" "He's an evil guy!" "The good better wake up to the coming evil!" "O Lord, help us!" This is not learning to distinguish between good and evil, as the Lord said we must; nor is it much admonishment or exhortation at all. It is rather the rampant knowledge of good and evil in commentary. Christians are told to contend for the faith, and to resist evil, not by engaging in a temporal tug-o'-war with the world over good and evil history, good and evil policy, good and evil current events, good and evil. Jesus told us to make disciples of men, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. This means bringing them to know God Himself, not pitting yourself for or against the world so that things go well in God's name.

The Lord brings glad tidings of joy about His heavenly kingdom and is not and never has been particularly concerned that things go well with the world in this age. Operating not by the knowledge of good and evil but rather by the Holy Spirit, you will prayerfully do just the same. Jesus had little taste and tolerance for blathering about world developments of His time on earth in His Father's name. So cheer up, and for heaven's sake, get your sights and spirits off the bloody news and its developments. If we end up like the men killed in this video, so much the better for us. The meek shall inherit the earth; so there's no problem there. In the meantime, we have a race to win -- with a harvest to bring in, not a contest to conduct.

Today every world government is under attack if they show any kind of faith - but especially christian support. Don't be blind.

Ooops, seems as if the man beheaded was not a friar at all. Thanks for stirring up the pot even more Catholic Online.

Warning: the Islamic fundamentalists in Syria, called "rebels" are subsidized by Western countries (particularly the U.S. and the UK), as well as before happened in Libya. Obama has explicitly stated that the government will provide arms to the rebels, as Assad uses chemical weapons (reminds you of something that accusation?). But the Republicans do even worse: they call for direct military intervention. But a victory by the fundamentalists would have resulted in the ethnic cleansing of Christians (as well as Alawites and Shiites)

I think it is very important to update this story with the evidence that has come out that these executions in the video were possibly not FranÒ«ois Mourad, as several good news sources are now reporting that this video was shot months before he died and this is possibly other victims of Jihadists. The acts are disgusting and horrible nonetheless, but please update the story.
