Supreme Court: Defenders of Traditional Marriage are Enemies of the Human Race Comments

In one fell swoop, the United States Supreme Court in United States v. Windsor killed the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), thereby assuring that same-sex "marriages" recognized under State laws must be treated as marriages under Federal law.  The immediate result of the majority holding is to open up to the partners of same-sex "marriage" thousands of benefits, including estate tax exemptions, social security benefits, ... When God, the Supreme Judge, created the world, He pronounced it good. Since then , the supreme court made a mess out of it, and Obama made sure that they do their work.

I am very saddened over the decision of the Supreme Court. It is contrary to the "Natural Law" that is from "the Beginning....." There is only one "natural" way that the human race can be propagated and that is by the "union between one man and one woman." This "union" has been called "marriage" and has been defined and understood as between two people of the opposite sex from time immemorial--indeed, from "the Beginning...."The Supreme Court had no "right" to change that. "Marriage" is not a "Law of a State" nor even a "Law of the Nation." It is a Law above the State, above the Nation. It is universal and it is unchangeable--in the human race. The Judges really had no rightful standing, no "authority," no "power," to change this Natural Law--no matter how much "Gay Rights Activists" press their agenda. (Some of the things homosexual advocates have been saying are not even true....Legally, they have always been able to leave their inheritance to their "partner" if they want; they have always been able to visit their "partner" in the hospital--if their "partner" wants them to. They have always been able to live together and be co-owners of the same house, etc., if they want to. The one thing that has been impossible for them to do--and still is, and always will be--even with this new Human (changeable) Law of the Supreme, is have children through intercourse--That is, and always will be, Naturally, between one man and one woman, and that relationship has been acknowledged through century upon century and called: "Marriage." I hope, I pray, this man-made ruling--which the Supreme Court had no right to make--is overturned one day. We need some knowledgeable and wise attorneys to get together and prepare a sound legal challenge to this un-Natural Law-decision of the Supreme Court. The integrity, the very Life of our Nation depends on it! Otherwise, we shall see the "un-intended consequences"--beyond all imagining--Only "the fool says in his heart: 'there is no God' " to whom we will give an account--in fact, eventually, even "Nature" revolts against it's violation!

I never thought I'd see a time where the president of the United States would publicly and with great intent tell the world that two men living together and raising children or two women living together and raising children or a married man and a women living together and raising children - well folks, it's all the same thing! But this is where our president and his administration are at today!

I can recall a time when most socialogists believed that it was good for a child to have both a mother, a female, and a father, a male, in their lives. Well according to Obama there's no need for that!

And this is where we're at today!

How many steps from calling defenders of traditional marriage "enemies" is it to treating them as such? Then how many steps to tyranny? And don't tyrannical states always make an end of their enemies.

I'd say, the way the left is going, less than ten years till "the new persecutions" and cleansings begin. Sound paranoid? GO read what the Left is saying on their websites. They wish it could begin yesterday.

Well......if the majority rules, there is a simple action, nonviolent, supportive of church teaching that all Catholics cam use to their advantage. A weapon of love and not at all hurtful, but joyful, something that cannot be present in any other than heterosexual relationships ....we who are young enough need to get busy having children! Then, educate our children in truth and Catholic Faith. The downfall of society is plain to see. It began when we began to devalue our own children, calling them "inconvenient, burdensome ". Time to get started! Those within the church past child bearing age can help by offering their support and guidance as foster grandparents and mentors. If Catholic Families are supported by the church and treated as if they matter (and I don't mean financially) in this fight, we can form strong communities that support large families. Like I said, something that a gay civil union can't produce on its own and can't even produce without great expense is children! Let's have children! :) Better hurry before we end up like the families in China. Next, I fear, a crackdown on child bearing as the new found freedom of gay couples comes head to head with reality. Marriage is the foundation that brings forth children. When reality hits, when the first cheers of victory die out, frustration and disillusionment will set in when they try to legislate that. So "legislate this! " Pass a law forcing God to grant you the ability to cocreate within your "so called marriages ". What fools! Force your will on the creator of life. Let me know how that works out for ya!

LGBTQ Ally: Since when does wanting people to go to heaven, instead of hell, "evil" and "hateful"? GOD, Himself, has already spoken on this matter, long ago, and our country is tragically coming down on the wrong side of the issue.

"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!" (Isaiah 5:20, RSV-CE)

I'm so proud that the author of this article is from my hometown, Corpus Christi, TX! Well done!

I find the rhetoric of bigotry hurtful. I don't hate gays. Not at all. I have many dear friends who are gay. I also have straight friends who are "living in sin", as my mom used to say. It's the same sin. It IS a sin. God will judge it, and God can forgive it.

I will never advocate a military state that dictates what adults do in our own homes. If we choose sin, that's between us and God. While I wouldn't defend an unreasonable intrusion, I object to what the Court has done. All humans -- including gays -- have the right to be free of physical harm, employment discrimination, and unreasonable economic sanctions. The legal recognition of a sexual union is not a right.

I object to our sex based culture that says the only way to be fully realized as a human is by sexual gratification. That's the movement behind this ruling, as well as the legalization of abortion and contraception; pornography and strip clubs.

We must always be mindful that our role is not to judge the worthiness of the soul to get into heaven. Our role is to work hard to get ourselves and our fellow neighbors into heaven.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, Blessed John Paul II and all the Saints -- pray for our country!

I wish the Pope would come out and say that you cannot be a Catholic and support gay marriage, period. I am so tired of so called "Catholics" calling me a bigot because I stand with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

"Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's".

"By their fruit you know them".

A marriage cannot be called a marriage if consummation does not take place - and between two men and two women we cannot speak of consummation, can we?

The people in the High Courts do not represent the Word of God, they represent themselves, their beliefs. and through their perveted minds are able to misinterpret the natural law, claiming to be above the Wisdom of God.
We, Catholics, need to hold onto our Faith now more than ever before. The Word of God is our guide and no judge can change it. Homosexuality is an abomination and it will stay that way because it is against the teaching of the Lord.

This is a succinct, yet visionary far reaching, precise, excellent article.
On the premise it is the nature of truth that it often separates itself from the crowd (majority),
that majority opinion is often wrong, who then will claim that truth was achieved in the supreme court's decision? The only one that seems to have any clarity is Antonio Scalia! It shouldn't surprise me, because he likes St. Thomas More and has Jesuit influence running in his veins: good!
