Unfortunately, none of these recommendations would of prevented the Newtown killings.
Our schools should be just as safe as the White House. I beleive the White House has armed guards and there are 23,000 schools that already have them. Christ did not take the sword from Peter but told him to put it away.

The President's recommendations seem logical. We should attempt to keep certain things out of the wrong peoples hands. Things like cyanide, explosives, mercury, assault rifles and flame throwers. The sky will not fall if we adopt these recommendations. Of course the NRA will throw false statements at the President----that is how the NRA raises money.

Where is the President's outrage over black-on-black crime? Far more than twenty blacks are killed every week in the inner cities across the nation. You are far more likely to be killed by a "mentally stable" person who is NOT on anti-depressants (e.g. your spouse or other family member) than by someone who takes anti-depressants. Statistics do not lie....sadly, I cannot say the same for our President.

Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Chavez, Castro, all took the guns away.

If three men break into your home, a clip with only ten rounds may not be enough.

Dear President, You voted to let a child born alive after a botched abortion to be left alone to die. Do not preach to us about your love of children and their safety. You sir are a significant part of the problem not the solution.

I know that I am jumping into a huge controversy, but for the first time ever and perhaps the only time ever, I am in complete agreement with the President. I applaud his efforts. We are in a state of emergency.

I understand the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, but freedom and democracy are only possible when a people are able to govern themselves.

Yes, I understand inconsistency of the President re: abortion. However, we are living in the middle of a culture that is out of control. Something drastic needs to be done immediately.

The Founding Fathers couldn't even imagine the kinds of guns that are widely available, nor the terrible things that are going on in our nation.

Why is he trying to do this???

Is it to protect the children???

Then why is he funding free abortions through Obamacare will tears apart alive almost 1000 babies a day???

If this is the case then he's a the biggest hypocrite in history.

But if he truly does not really care about saving lives, then logically he wants to take away your right to bear arms.

And logically, it can't be for saving lives, but so some other reason.

Which in turn makes him a liar, again.

His first task is to "keep our children safe." Oh please, tell it to the murdered unborn.
This president's ultimate goal is disarming the country, the progressive dream for implementation of a marxist utopia, aka, total government control over all aspects of our lives.
As long as his daughters are protected by gun carrying secret service agents, he has no business telling law-abiding citizens they can't protect their children in the same way.
