A baffling mystery that has troubled Americans since early November may finally have an answer; how did Obama, with so much opposition arrayed against him, manage to eke out the votes to win the election? "What is most interesting about the bloc is that they identify with the left and democratic issues much more than the right. Why this is remains a mystery, but surveys say they tend to support anti-life policies, redefining marriage, and other socially liberal causes."
WHO, exactly, is surprised by this? This is no mystery, at all! While I agree with the findings this article reports, it was no "baffling mystery" to most who paid attention to what occurred.
A well written article except the part where the author calls on readers to recover their youth and insulate them from attacks from atheists. What attacks? Who is being harmed? Surely the act of fighting for Constitutional equality can't be considered an attack. The last bit of this article is as blatant an attack as they get. A call to arms!
Our Constitution guarantees that we are not, and can never be, a Christian nation. It's an oxymoron in the case of the United States. Let us concentrate on making our nation a place where we take care of each other instead of spreading fear and superstition against fellow Americans. If we are going to fight, let us fight those who prey on the weak, not against the weak struggling for acceptance.
I am atheist and don't want to attack any religious values I think you will find the Church is attacking mine and you have demonstrated this through the bias in you article. That is why Obama won because he is not a crazy extremist. This comment will probably not even get published because it holds an opinion different to yours which again proves religion to be intolerant and immature in the majority of cases. This from a 16 year old, and I don't need to be insulated thank you very much.
