Some interesting points in this, but it does contain a mistake or two (for instance, slavery was NOT legal in the north; the Missouri Compromise banned slavery north of the 36°30' parallel).

This also overlooks a number of other issues Mr. Romney and GOP faced -- secularism, ignorance/naivety, and apathy. The fact that Mr. Obama got 51% of the Catholic vote is really disheartening. He also got 63% of the 18 - 34 year old vote, a group that Pew Research says favors socialism over capitalism, along with a lion's share of the women's vote. Mr. Obama managed to turn this election into one about social issues, when it was anything but, and too many ignorant/naive people drank the Kool-Aid. And, to top things off, almost 100 million eligible voters do not even bother to vote in Presidential elections in the U.S.

Additionally, Mr. Romney got almost 2 million fewer votes than Sen. McCain did in 2008. I have a feeling many people were just not very enamored of Mr. Romney. My vote for Mr. Romney, for instance, was a vote that was more against Mr. Obama than it was for Mr. Romney.

You need to mention the ugliness of the campaign for re-election of the evil man in the White House. Romney and people like him, whether or not they are white males, would and could never resort to such gutter tactics.

It is a sign of a culture that is moving farther away from God that enables such ugliness to succeed-that is, temporarily. Eventually the Greek-like socialism will hurt us, poor people and all. More importantly, those who support an agenda of infanticide, promoting sodomy as equal to Holy Matrimony, threatening the Church and her institutions for refusing to abandon God and His laws, etc..will have to face a judgment and give an account to the One who is not at all impressed by evil, including the demonization of one's opponents.

The ranks of senators and representatives within the Party of Death and Deceit are filled with "Rich White" men and women. But they were all "Re-elected" to office. Being Rich & White isn't the problem. The problem is the Marxist Media Complex Propaganda Machine that got Obama and his Party anti-Catholic minions elected. The Propaganda Machine has been very effective. It is more effective when the Propaganda Machine has no opposition. Two things will need to happen. The "Silent" Bishops and priests will need to speak up or step down and go do something else, AND the GOP will need to BUY THEIR OWN MEDIA to communicate to the masses.
