CORRUPTION? Obama is buying your votes. Obama hands out 20 million free cell phones, free minutes to those on government assistance Comments

A program to provide low-income Americans with free cell phones - including the phone, free minutes and no contracts - has recently incurred the wrath of conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh. The irascible Rush was surprised to just recently learn of the program, which has been in effect for awhile and has been dubbed by the public as "Obama phones." Continue Reading

Obama is using third-world FORMULA in politics, "POOR (for) the PEOPLE, and BUY (by) the PEOPLE..." just to remain in POWER. United States of America, is considered by many nations as a model of all government, but now it is losing its political nobility because of the DESIRE for POWER of the FEW. As we can see today, America does not stand anymore to uphold the freedom and liberty of every people and every nation in the world, instead we see a growing division in the American politicians, that divides the nation.

Now we know why Obama does not want the economy to pick up and strangle businesses with over-regulation. He wants more Americans to go below the poverty line - the more government dependents, the more voters will support the Democrats. Feudalistic mentality. Feudal lords made sure the peasants remained poor, uneducated and dependent on their benevolence to perpetuate themselves in power. America needs leaders who empower the people to help themselves.

Well, there is your 47%. It's that simple. Please vote for fiscal sanity in November. Think about all the good we could do with $1.6B returned to the taxpayer to spend at their discretion. Even if only 10% of that makes its way to legitimate charitable organizations, that is a far better use of the money than this ridiculous program.

Truly, I expected better from a Catholic organization. Like a little research (http://www.snopes.com/politics/taxes/cellphone.asp) and not regurgitated Rush Limbaugh broadcasts.

The program in question was established in the 80s under Reagan to ameliorate telephone service costs for the poor. Over time, this has expanded to include cell phone service in lieu of a landline. It is not a program started under President Obama, no matter what the public calls it.

Here is just another reason our country is broke! Obama wasting our tax money to buy votes.
He knows the "mindless" zombies, who have been living off our government for years(our tax money) will continue to vote for this evil man, as long as they get free stuff. Lets see they already get free food, free school lunches, free housing, free medical, free eye glasses, free dental,
free college education and now a free phone and free minutes. And Obama says, "that Americans are greedy and need to spread more wealth around". Really!!!!! WAKE up you Catholics.
