Melkite Catholic Church to Ordain Married Men to the Priesthood in the US Comments

The Bishop of the Melkite Eparchy of Newton, Massachusetts announced that the Melkite Greek Catholic Church in the United States would be ordaining married men to the priesthood. These comments raise significant questions of what the consequence of such a move might mean for this Eastern Catholic Church in full communion with Rome. Continue Reading

If Christ is a new Adam, and Side of Christ has been opened as Adam's and if from Adam's side came out Eve then what came out from Christ's side if not the new Eve, eg the Church?
If Eve was wife of Adam then the Church is wife of Christ.
If the priest is Christ then priest's wife is the Church.
Why then an idea to have a priest marry a woman?
It is like having a nun marrying a man. Same missing the point...
Why would someone try to 'invent' his/her ideas in order to defend a human truth instead of seeking the Divine One?

    Blessings,
    Greg.

Eastern Catholic Churches have their own tradition and expression of faith, which is the same as the Orthodox Churches, as they all are eastern Churches who preserve ancient tradition. Yes, they are in union with Roman Church, but it doesn’t mean that they have to leave their tradition and embrace Latin tradition and practices. Holy See has to respect the rights of Easter Catholic Churches to preserve and to live according to their tradition. If not, then it is very silly to hope that the reunification of Western and Eastern Churches (Catholic and Orthodox) will come soon, although the Latin Catholic Church always say that they will do everything necessary to achieve it. How come the Orthodox Churches intend to come to the reunification Catholic –Orthodox, if they see how miserable and “dictator-like” Latin Roman Church has done to the Eastern Catholic Churches in full communion with Rome.
