No more guns for the police, private arms boycott growing fast

Dozens of companies are refusing to sell to police, government, following new gun restrictions

Private firearms and ammunition manufacturers are teaming up with civilians against the Obama administration's continual pressure to erode Second Amendment rights. States that also pass restrictive gun laws are also being taken to task as arms suppliers are now refusing to sell to various agencies including law enforcement.

The more they say you do not need the Second Amendment, the more you need it.

The more they say you do not need the Second Amendment, the more you need it.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The grassroots movement is a backlash against increasingly restrictive firearm laws across the nation. Several private arms manufacturers have now publicly stated that they will no longer sell weapons and ammunition to law enforcement and other government agencies.

Some agencies have cancelled contracts altogether while others have said they will not sell anything that is illegal for citizens in a given state to posses. For example, if a particular firearm is illegal to posses in one state, then the weapons will not be sold to law enforcement either.

The hope is to apply pressure to agencies and individuals who would otherwise seek to erode the Second Amendment and promote the disparity in firepower between law enforcement and law abiding-citizens.

More and more companies are joining the honor roll, in an effort to preserve the Second Amendment for all citizens.

We have also included below some statements from the companies which explain what they are doing and why.

From Citizen Arms:

Due to legal, ethical and moral concerns, Citizen Arms offers only those custom firearms that are legal for all lawful citizens of a given state to possess, regardless of law enforcement status. LE personnel living in states where citizens must have restrictive features will only receive like product support from Citizen Arms. We're very appreciative of the sacrifices made by the law enforcement community but we're even more appreciative of the right guaranteed to all law-abiding US citizens by the Second Amendment to the US Constitution: A well regulated militia, necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

From Barrett:

Barrett's Position Regarding the Assault on Liberty

Barrett opposes those who are illegally disarming the American public from their efficient arms and creating superior armed elitist government agencies.

Elected state officials of New York, having been sworn to protect our Constitution, have instead committed an offense against it and their citizens by stripping inalienable rights duly protected and guaranteed under the Second Amendment. By their deliberate and sinister actions, these officials now cause their state and local policing agencies to enforce these unconstitutional and illegal so called "laws".

By current law, Barrett cannot be an accomplice with any lawbreaker, therefore, cannot and will not service or sell to New York government agencies. Barrett also applies this stance to the individual elected official who, as a matter of public record, has voted for or created regulation that violates the constitutional rights of their citizens. This is an expansion of our 2002 ban against the California government due to their second amendment infringements, and shall apply to any future violators.

In the course of world history there have been officials that strip inalienable rights from the people that were given to all by our Creator. Most of these officials inevitably come to trial, some do not.

Intentionally violating constitutional rights by officials that have sworn to uphold them should have severe prison sentences.
With the clear vision of horrible events in history repeating itself, all manufacturers of firearms or related equipment remaining in partnership with such violators should have a respectable fear of being found with the guilty on their day of trial.

During this era of assault on liberty, Barrett will remain steadfast in our efforts to serve law-abiding citizens of all fifty states, and stands together with you in the struggles we will fight and win.

Norton Firearms:

Even the Lord's Apostles carried weapons of self-defense. Recall St. Peter drawing a sword to defend Jesus from the mob that had come to arrest Him. Christ's response: "Those who live by the sword will die by the sword." In other words, faith in God takes priority over faith in weapons, but weapons of self-defense are not inherently evil.

King St. Louis IX of France wielded the sword "in justice." "In the justice of our arms" was part of the oath his royal knights swore to before engaging the enemies of Christianity on the field. The enemies of Christianity always endeavor to disarm Christians so they can slaughter them without resistance. During the past 275 years, tens of millions of Christians have been disarmed then martyred in France, Russia, Eastern Europe, Spain, Mexico, China, Vietnam, etc. etc.

America is hardly immune to being victimized in the same way. I therefore salute the actions being taken by gun manufacturers to help preserve the Second Amendment, a right granted by God.

I couldn't be prouder of these companies. Putting their money where their mouth is. What a service they are doing for our country and those of us who cherish our freedoms.

To the extent I can, I will be patronizing as many companies on this list as possible.

THIS is how we get this abusive and despotic govt to change their agendas and back down. We have to hit them hard and consistently.

    Thank you all, once again.

"I guess that's the Catholic tie in..."

I guess you have no clue what is important to Catholics. The right to keep and bear arms is the right that prevents a socialist statist like Obama from fulfilling his obvious dictatorial ambitions. Dictators throughout history have always made disarming their citizens a top priority. Whenever a dictator successfully disarms a citizenry, it usually leads to persecution of religious people. Thus, Catholics should always take an intense and active interest whenever any government threatens to strip them of any of their God-given rights, especially the right that protects all the other rights.
